Banana bread

Ingredients
| 1/2 cup |
butter |
| 1 cup |
sugar |
| 2 |
eggs |
| 1 "generous" tsp |
vanilla extract |
| 1.5-3 cups |
overripe bananas |
| 2 cups |
flour |
| 2 tsp |
baking soda |
| 1 "large dollop" (1/4-1/3 cup) |
sour cream |
| [optional] 1 cup |
chopped walnuts and/or mini chocolate chips |
Procedure
- Combine butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl.

Add bananas and make consistent (with hand mixer unless you want a workout).
- Separately, sift together flour and soda.
- Add powders to the wet mixture.
- Stir in sour cream, and nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour into one regular or two small bread pans.

Bake at 350°F for 60 minutes for a large loaf; 25-45 minutes for smaller
loaves.
